Risk Disclosure
Investing in independent film — including horror films — involves substantial risk, including the total loss of your investment. The following is a summary of material risks and is not exhaustive. This page is a stub and will be replaced with full disclosure language before any offering goes live.
- Loss of principal. Most independent films do not recoup their budget. You may lose your entire investment.
- Illiquidity. Fractional film equity is not publicly traded. There is no resale market.
- Long horizons. Distribution, collections, and statements typically span 3–7 years.
- Genre concentration. Indie Dark invests only in horror. Genre cycles, censorship, and platform policies can compound losses.
- Production risk. Films may be delayed, recast, abandoned, or fail to deliver a finished cut.
- No SIPC / FDIC protection.
